I am using a child theme.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

The markers on the map are plot using the Address field.
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/maps/display-on-google-maps/#map-address-fields

The address field is stored in the database table so if you update the plugin, it will not override the marker address values as its stored in the database table.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
If you just want to update the Toolset Maps plugin, you should simply update it and markers should be displayed without any issues.

My concern is the marker images stored in public_html/wp-content/plugins/toolset-maps/resources/images/markers

I have custom images to use as markers which i uploaded to the above folder. These appear to have been lost in the last map plugin update.

OK, i just realised i can store the custom images anywhere else as i refer to them directly..... My bad, my brain was obviously not working 🙂

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
