Hi, we make a post in our custom type and when we translate it, the translated "custom fields" appears in ALL the languages, not only in the one needed.

How can we assign a field only to his language?

P.S. The "Italian site", if I select a Deutsch filed, don't make the Deutsch post visible, and this is correct!

Hi Luca,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Did you translate your select field values using our String translations plugin ? If not then you need to translate this for the correct values to show up or else you will get the values of another language.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Luca,

Have you rescanned the strings?

Normally a ticket like this is meant for the WPML forums but I'll try to help here.

Could you provide me with access to the site as well as to tell me which custom field isn't showing up in the string translations.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Luca,

The fields especially the ones in your screenshot are not translated using String Translations.

They are actually translated when translating your post itself.

Hi, but if I translate this strings without String translation I have the "original issue" of this thread...
In the IMAGE you can see that the ITALIAN string are present evening the ENGLISH version. I f I select an Italian string from this menu and I'm in the English version of the site, the system return me a "no items" error (and this is correct) but I don't want the Italian field to be present!

Hi Luca,

Perhaps you've been misinterpreting me.

Field that uses predefined values such as Checkboxes, Radio buttons, select dropdowns etc. Need to be translated using the String translations plugin.

However fields like single line and WYSIWYG fields are translated on the actual post as depicted in the link here.

Please let me know if this clears things up for you.

Thanks,
Shane

This is one of the VIEWS where I have the problems: hidden link

In the dropdown menu you can see one voice in english (String test 3), the translation of the Italian "Prova stringa 4" made with "normal" translation (NOT with String Translation).

The EDIT of the page: hidden link
The edit of the VIEW: hidden link

The access infos are the same of the start of the ticket.

Hi Luca,

This should now be resolved.

The problem was with one of your search parameters that was added to the view.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi, can you explain me what have you changed, so I can replicate it to my primary site?

And... now the "search results" are mispaginated... (image)
