I am trying to:

To edit custom fields of custom post type in edit page of custom post type.

I have a custom role (gestor2) to create and edit this custom post type and custom fields of custom post type.

Only the admin role can edit this fields and not other users with custom role.

The custom post type is Obras

Custom fields are Campos de obras assigned to obras

Only administrator can edit the custom fields.

Any help?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - As I understand you want to give permission to user created with "gestor2". role so that they can able to edit custom field group. I need to check the permissions assigned to the role "gestor2".

Can you send me access details of the user who is assigned with role "gestor2" as well as user with administrator role. I need those two users.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Well - I do not know using which role you created the role "gestor2". Can you please share exact steps you follow that should help me to reproduce this issue?

Hi Minesh

Gestor2 is a role for user that can create, edit and delete obras.

I just created this role in this way

Custom roles -> Create a new role -> Name of role. After this I went to Post types and give to Gestor all permissions to administrate any Obra. After this I went to custom post types fields anf ai give to that rols permissions to see and edit Campos de obras.

If i create another custom role to do the same thing with obras and campos obras doesn't work. It impossible to administrate obras and campos de obras if you're not administrator

Try to create a custom role to administrate obras and campos de obras.

I think that There is an issue. I just created a new Site with custom post types and custom fields... And only administrator can see custom fields

I just created 3 new sites. Always the same problem. Old sites work fine, but all sites created recently not. User with Custom role can't edit custom fields of post types.

I wait for you support Minesh.

Thanks!

Well - I see few users reported the similar issues that they can only see the custom fields as administrator role user but not with author role.

This is a known issue with the author role for now. We already escalated this issue to our next level support. Please hold on for further update.

It doesn't work with custom roles (not only author role).
I'll wait for news.

Hi there. The problem is not solved. I installed the update, and custom roles can access to previous created custom post types, but if I create a new custom post type... the custom role can only visualize it,. He can't edit or create.

Well - have you checked for the custom role you created does that custom role has been assigned with the sufficient permissions so that you able to edit/delete posts created by other users.

Yes. You have the user and pass to enter at my website. You can check it.

If I enter with custom role gestorweb... I can create new custom post types but I can't edit or delete custom post types created by admin. I only can create, edit or delete my own custom post types (created by custom role gestorweb).

Thanks Minesh
