Hi sorry I couldn't work this out from the documentation at
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/cred-shortcodes/#cred_field

But is it possible for the Cred Select field using this shortcode
[cred_field field='parent-body' force_type='taxonomy' output='bootstrap' display='select' single_select='true' value=""]

To display an empty value by default?
And also for the select options to orderby name?

They would both be very user friendly improvements to this post-edit form, if its possible?

Thanks for your help again,
Ruben

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

To display an empty value by default?
==>
This feature is known to us and already reported to our internal ticket system. I see that it set to publish with future release of form version 2.6 in the near future.

For now, you can use the jQuery code to add default option to your taxonomy select box - Please try to add the following code to your Form's JS box:

jQuery(document).ready(function($){

jQuery("select[name='YOUR-SELECT-NAME']").prepend('<option value="">- choose-</option>');
jQuery("select[name='YOUR-SELECT-NAME']")[0].selectedIndex = 0;
});

Where:
- Replace 'YOUR-SELECT-NAME' with your original select name

And also for the select options to order by name?
==>
There is no such feature available for now. You can file a new feature request using the following link:

Thanks Minesh, sorry for the slow response.

That does the job. I think the select form empty by default will be a nice improvement to Cred.
