Hi,
We have several CRED FORMS for updating user data in the frontend.
All these forms have a notification set to WHEN A USER UPDATES A FORM.
The notification is beeing fired when the admin updates the user profile in the BACKEND, which it shouldn't correct?
We find this very strange, the notification template is the one that are inside the cred forms. There is no reason for the admin receive that notification when updating in the backend.
Thanks
Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I tried a similar workflow on a clean installation and this error did not appear at all. When the user updates the profile in the frontend from the edit user form, with the notification, a notification email is sent. But when the user updates his profile on the wp-admin/profile page, no email is sent.
Can you check if you are choosing to send the email when custom fields are updated as shown in this screenshot hidden link
That could explain why the notification is also triggered from the backend profile page.
If this does not help, please check if this issue appears when:
- Only Toolset plugins are activated. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with another plugin.
- The theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Fourteen. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
If the problem disappears, start activating one at the time to track where the incompatibility is produced.
If this also does not help, we'll need to take a copy of your website for local debugging. Let me know if you would agree to share a copy of your website.
