I am trying to:
Send a notification to a wordpress user when content is submitted.

Users sign up on page 1, then submit content on page 2.

I am having trouble sending notifications to this user as their email is not in the content form, nor is their wordpress username.

I have tried inserting a hidden field to display the wordpress user and/or email address, but this can then not be selected at in the fields:

- Send notification to an email specified in a form field:
- Send notification to a WordPress user specified in a form field:

I have read through this but it is not an exact match as I do not want the user to see this field or have a choice where to send the email- https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/automated-email-notifications-with-cred/#send-email-notification-to-a-user-specified-in-a-generic-field

Hi there

Firstly, please note that you are posting in the Community Forum for users of the free Types plugin. As a Toolset customer you can and should post in the Technical Support forum which we prioritise and where you should receive speedier service.

If you want to send the notification to the person submitting the content, that person will be the post author, which you can choose as one of the options.
