[Resolved] Cred edit link and form open frontend

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: When I click the edit post link, it redirects to wp-admin. I want to edit the post on the front-end of the site.

Solution: Be sure to use the Edit Post Link inside the Toolset Forms popup, and follow the instructions below.

We have a view showing users listings with Post title and Edit this link and have created a post edit form.

1. The edit link is only visible for admins not all users, how do we make it visible to all users?
2. The edit link is taking the user to the backend to edit the post, how do we change it open the frontend cred form?

Hi, it sounds like the wrong shortcode has been placed on the site. To display a link to edit a post with Forms, you should select "Edit Post Link" from the Toolset Forms popup. See the attachment.

Before you insert the link, you should create an unassigned Content Template that contains your edit post Form. then when you insert the edit post link, you will be given the opportunity to select the Content Template that contains your edit post Form. The process is slightly different when your site uses Toolset Layouts. More detailed information is available here:

Great, thanks for the instructions, I have got it working now 🙂

But when you submit an edited form, from a user that is not an admin, it shows a 404 error instead of the Thank you message.

Hi, I have moved that into a separate ticket since it's not really the same as the original issue here. Another supporter will follow up with you as soon as possible.

Okay. Thank you!
