We need to create a content template for custom post types that were created with the older version of Toolset and the classic WordPress editor.
Is it possible to migrate those post types in the new block editor by keeping all relationships and contents?

If we try to create a block-based content template and try to associate it with the old post types we get a PHP set of errors.

What is the best way to deal with this problem of old/new post types and custom templates?

Thanks

Franco

Hi Franco,

You should be able to create a content template for any post type whether old or new.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a more detailed look at this for you ?

Please where applicable please provide me with a link to an example page where I can see the issue. Also let me know the Post Type that you're trying to create the content template for.

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
at this moment I do not have a content template done because I deleted the one with the error, if you can leave this ticket open I will send you the access to the backend as soon as the content template is done.
I tried to create a content template with bloicke but in the dynamic fields I do not find the "post content" field. How can we insert the post content in a specific block of the content template?

Hi Franco,

There should be a single field block that you can use to insert the post content. See Screenshot

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
I need to insert the POST BODY content in a specific column of the content template but in the block you showed me there is no field that allows to insert the post body.
How to do that?

Franco

Hi Franco,

The single field Block allows you to insert the post body. Are you not seeing this single field block ?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane
