The user would like to create a view with a custom search.

Solution:
Check our video tutorial here https://toolset.com/lesson-placement/lesson-placements-1622935-1621213/
Just after minute 1:00, we create a view, then we choose the search option at 1:10. The search widget/part of the view is explained around 1:21. The taxonomy search input/control is added between 1:32 and 2:06.

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I am not really sure what do you mean by search widget? Is it default WordPress widgets? Can you elaborate more on your questions?

In the meantime, I can tell that you can build views of posts that have a custom search on them, and that will let you filter/search posts with different criteria. You can also add a filtering/searching capability to archive pages.
Please check our Youtube channel and our documentation below for more information:

Check our lesson pages and filter by the "Custom search" term to check some tutorials. https://toolset.com/course-lesson/

Hi,

Hello,

It is possible. It will involve, creating the custom taxonomy and post types, adding some posts, then creating a view with a custom search.
Check this video https://toolset.com/lesson-placement/lesson-placements-1622935-1621213/
It is all about creating the search part of a view to display posts based on a custom taxonomy.

The video is part of a lesson about creating classified websites, check the lesson here https://toolset.com/course/wordpress-directory-and-classifieds-sites/

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
