We will soon have many authors creating posts on the site. A specific role using Access will be created for them. Some of them when creating a post want to be able to take or refer to a private note section that will help them when working on the post, but they do not want these private notes to be seen by other authors who will also have access to these posts. Is there a way to add a text area custom field that would only be visible by the post author. ?
Thanks

Hi Charles,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Could you provide a bit of clarity for me. Will this field be edited on the backend or on the frontend.

On the backend we are not able to limit the fields display to only the current author but on a frontend form we can.

The problem now is that another author can always go on the backend and see what other authors have posted in their notes field.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks - It's for the backend. They will keep private notes separate from the site.
