This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
How to create a dynamic link for PDF files.
Solution:
- Upload your PDF files in WordPress > Media
- Then you will have the URL of the PDF files available for you that you can add to a custom field that is a link/url and not a PDF file.
- That way you are able to use the button block and add the URL of the custom field there.

I created a custom field called Doc
In this field I will upload PDF files
On the content template, I want to add some sort of visual representation of the file.
I added a button but can't find a way to link to the document field.
Is there another way. Is there a toolset feature that might do it better?
I need some guidance on this.
