On the home page of the website, as an overlay on the picture with the students on the top of the page, there is a container consisting of two elements:
1: An H3 heading with the caption "Aus der Geschäftsstelle
2: Directly underneath there is a single field that should display the content of a specific page. This used to work until a couple of weeks ago, but not any more. I can see the content in the editor window but it doesn't display on the preview or the actual page.

Thank you for getting in touch.
In a case like this when the plugins are not functioning as intended we recommended that you disable the non-toolset plugins.
What this means is that you will need to go through your list of plugins and disable each of your plugins one at a time while checking to see if the issue still remains.
Hi Shane,
unfortunately it's none of the plugins that interferes.
Could it be that the field uses (via the shortcode) some kind of php code that is necessary in order to load the content from the other post – and that the execution of the code is blocked for some reason? What speaks against this is that there are several views on this page as well and the load just fine.
I will try a workaround by using a view to display this content and let you know.
Thanks again,
Jannis
Given that the sample data shows up on the backend then it should show up on the frontend. Unless the post on the frontend doesn't meet the criteria for the field display i.e if you're displaying the data of a related post and there is no post in the relationship.
I will try a workaround by using a view to display this content and let you know.
Please let me know if there is an update on this on.
Thanks,
Shane
