Toolset Layouts conflicts with the wpForo plugin

I can visualize the forum pages only when disabling layouts. I have tried creating an empty layout that may accommodate the forum but to no avail.

The image attached shows the wpForo option to overrule Layouts

Is there any solution?

Thanks
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I'm not so sure if this one would be considered as a conflict. It seems the wpForo plugin converts the wordpress install into a forum.

This would mean that the pages that would be generated or used by the forum plugin won't be able to be modified by our Layouts plugin.

Are you still able to edit the non-forum pages ? Or does the forum plugin turn all your pages into a forum setup. I'm not familiar with this plugin so a little more detail on how it works would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

On the back-end everything works fine and I edit both wpForo and Toolset.
On the front-end though forum pages are blank.

In order to see the forum I have to deactivate Layouts or enable wpForo to convert my site to a forum. Luckily wpForo allows exclusions, so I can exclude all the pages that use Layouts and see them correctly.

But, unfortunately, in this way I lose my home page, which is taken by the wpForo

Hi Ivan,

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a look ?

Also please send me a link to one of the pages that appear blank when Layouts is enabled.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for the credentials.

I was able to find the issue. The problem is that you have this Layout here
hidden link

This is assigned to the page that is responsible for the forum here
hidden link

The layout is pretty much empty which is what is causing your frontend forum page to display empty. What I did was to unassign the Layout from this page and your forum started showing up again.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
I thought that was the problem and tried to un-assign all layout but apparently I did't do it.

As I fear this issue may crop up in the future again, could you let me know where you unassigned it from?

Thanks sooo much for your help
Ivan
