Tell us what you are trying to do?
On my housing listing, I'm showing a contact form on each file, allowing the user to contact the appartment / house owner.
I've realized that when I'm connected, the contact form show up and works perfectly. But when I'm disconnected, the form disapears and is replaced by the normal comment form.

Is there a similar example that we can see?
I'm uploading 2 images. One of the contact form (connected) and one of the comment form (not connected).
What's also strange, it's that some users succeed to fill up the contact form, even if they are not registered

I've tried to see any connected / disconnected settings in the CRED form, but nothing, and comments are supposed to be disactivated by default.

What is the link to your site?
Comments and contact form switching if I'm connected or not

Thanks 🙂

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Do you mean that you want to display the form when user logged-in only? If yes, you will have to wrap your form with conditional statement to check if user if loggedin or not and if user is logged in then display the form otherwise not.

Can you please share problem URL where you added your form as well as your requirements when to display the form and when not and also share the frontend user access details so that I can login as frontend user to see if its working as expected or not.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

I'm not sure why you dont see it.

Can you please share as per the following Doc:

What content template you are using to display the edit post form?

Then I will try to add the edit post link.

Hi Minesh

Found the issue... That's a translation issue. In English, the option says "Edit post link". In French, the translation says "Edit the link of the post". So I thought it was editing the post URL instead of the post itself 😀

I would recommand you change the French text for "Modifier la publication" (instead of "Modifier le lien de la publication") which is the correct translationg.

Also, I thought we were editing posts content through CRED forms, but the system ask me to choose a Template. So I understand I'll have to create a new template?

Last thing: I've added the link, but the "Edit" text ("Modifier") do not appears. My Internet is slow here, so it may be from my side, but 5 mins later, the page still doesn't show any "Modifier" text link.

Ok, I will try to convince and inform the concert person.

Yes, that's correct. You should create a new content template and do not assign this content template to any post type. This content template is to hold the Edit form so it will work as a container to hold the post edit form. Once you create the content template add the post edit form to it and then save the content template. Later try to add the "Edit post link" where you should select the content template that holds the edit post form.

When you add the edit post link, change the text to "Edit" if required.

Ok... so! 😀

Contact form not showing for non logged user
- I realized that activating Toolset Access for the "My profile" page, the forms were set no viewable for guests and subscribers
- I've therefore changed the settings and it now shows up correctly!

Edit post link / Modifier le lien de la publication
- That was the correct button. I've created the template and now everything is fine
- Awesome if you can have the good translation updated, I may not be the only one to miss read the actual translation 🙂

Edit link in "My profile" page
- I tried again back in town (higher Internet speed) and now the link shows up

So I'm good!
Thanks!!! 😀
