Hi
could you please help me to understand what I'm doing wrong about tags and archives. I have a Classified CPT with tags and I have created a Classified Archive page customized with Toolset. All works fine, but on my homepage I have a section where I display the tag block (most searched terms) and when I click on any tag I get a blank page instead of my archive page with a list of items related to the selected tag.
Tag links are automatically created, similar to this: hidden link and of course because that page doesn't exists I get a blank one.
I understand that the tag can't activate any filter on my archive page, but at least I'd like my archive page or any other standard archive page to open listing all items related to that tag.
What am I missing ? or please point me to any of your documentations explaining how to
Thanks
Regards
Nicola

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Have you tried with minimum setup?

Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme (twenty twenty/ twenty twenty one) to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
- do you see the same issue? If yes:

I will require admin access details in order to check whats going wrong with your setup.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Hello Minesh,
following your indications I deactivated plugins and the theme and it looks like the issue is with the Kadence Theme. I contacted Kadence support and they said that they were unable to replicate the issue on their systems but can see it on my site so I gave them credentials to investigate further. I will let you know their findings in the next days.
thanks

Hi Minesh,
Kadence support helped me to understand why I got a blank page (some wrong settings in theme ...) so now clicking on tags I see the standard archive content. What I am missing is why it opens the standard archive page instead of the customized Toolset archive page, any other settings I am missing in Toolset ?
thanks
Regards
Nicola

Have you assigned the custom archive page you created using Toolset to your archive? If yes:

- Is your theme is compatible?
What if you switch to the "twenty twenty one" theme and check if you able to see the tag archive?

Hi,
I switched theme and it still shows the standard archive. As you can see from the attached image I have created an archive for classified called "Classified archive" that works perfectly when opened from the menu. What do you mean with "Have you assigned the custom archive page you created using Toolset to your archive?" ? I understood that creating a custom archive would automatically replace the standard one, if this is not the case what else should I do ?

Ok it looks like the archive is assigned to the "Classified" post type.

Can you please share admin access details and let me check whats going wrong with your setup.

It seems that you want to assign the following archive to the tags:
=> hidden link

When I checked the above archive it was not assigned to the tags that I did it and saved the archive. Can you confirm it works as expected?

When you are on the archive listing page, it will show you the "usage" column where you can see the archive is assigned to what entities (post types, taxonomies):
=> hidden link
