[Resolved] Children of forums are no longer automatically added to a post group

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: At one time it seemed that Access Groups were automatically applied to forum posts based on their parent forum post's Access Groups. Now that does not seem to be happening.

Solution: There has never been such an integration that I'm aware of. Access Groups must be added manually regardless of the forum parent post. Not sure how it happened before, but my guess is that someone else set the post group manually. This process is unfortunately unavoidable.

I am trying to:

Before, when I would add a forum to a post group, the children of it (topics, and replies) would automatically be added to the post group. This was particularly useful if there were many topics within a forum.

However, when I add a forum to a post group now, this doesn't seem to happen.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

If you go to hidden link
and view it in the admin dashboard, you will see that it is not part of the "Maryville University" post group.

However, if you go to hidden link , which is a forum from a year ago, you will see that it is part of its parent's post group "Morgan State", even though I never manually added it to this post group.

Did I do something incorrectly or should this behavior still work?

As far as I know, it has never been the case that an Access Post Group was automatically applied to any post, regardless of its parent bbPress forum Post Group. There has never been such an integration that I know of. This topic from about the same date as the SAK topic you mentioned does not include its parent forum post group: hidden link

This topic from just over a year ago also does not belong to its parent post group:
Topic: hidden link
Parent Forum: hidden link

Nor does this one from the same time frame:
Topic: hidden link
Parent Forum: hidden link

Something else is going on here, either someone else manually set the post group, or some other automated process set it. I don't have the ability to see any information about the post group history, unfortunately, so I don't have any more concrete information about how it happened.

No problem, thank you! Maybe someone added it manually.
