Category Link, links to post instead of category

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user's category pages were not showing up correctly.

Solution:

In this case the user had built a custom template for the category pages using the Oxygen plugin.

Unfortunately this is not one of our plugins so we wouldn't be able to provide much advise on what to do next.

If you are experiencing a similar issue I would recommend contacting the support forum of the plugin author.

This support ticket is created 5 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

I am trying to: link to a category

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: when I click on the category under the member portfolio view I would expect it to link to the category, but is linking to the category which is not displaying as it should from that link. It's un-formatted and I am not sure how I would create a view for that category. Do I need to create a category view?

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

The problem here could be that you've created a custom archive and not setup any proper styling.

Would it be possible to gain access to the site to check and verify this issue for you ?

Hi Alan,

Thank you for the credentials.

The issues to be from the Oxygen plugin as when I disabled it the Category pages show up fine with all its styling.

I'm not familiar with the oxygen plugin so I would be able to provide any advise on that.

Could you explain how you disabled Oxygen in the category pages please? And provide a link to a category page if possible? I am unaware of the mechanics as to how the page is loaded.

Hi Alan,

Disable the plugin itself from here

If you do that then go to one of your categories you will see the page loading up correctly.

So disable the oxygen plugin then go here.

You will notice that the page loads correctly.

It looks like you need to set up an Oxygen template to apply to category archives. You can do that by creating a Template, then under "Where does this template apply?", choose Archive > Taxonomies > Your Category:
