I am trying to:
Show the TITLE of a parent post relationship

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:
The Title

Instead, I got:
The Shortcode

I have a CPT called BOOKS, and one book belongs to a WRITER

When I show the single post view of a book I want to show the author name

I can use the TYPES shotcode to get the TOOLSET TYPES fields (Writer's country for example)

But I can't use the same method to get the actual page title (writers name)

I tried wpv-post-title but in Elementor, that just shows the shortcode on the front end. Does the wpv-post-title not work in Elementor like the TYPES one does?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I think it should work similarly to other Toolset shortcodes. But, nested shortcodes won't work. You can workaround it using a content template. Put the shortcodes in a legacy content template, then use the content template inside Elementor using a shortcode:

[wpv-post-body view_template="Name or slug of the content template"]

Is wpv-post-title a nested shortcode though?
Other shortcodes are working

#2233901

No it is not a nested shortcode. These on the other hands are example of nested shortcodes, notice how we are using a shortcode inside of a shortcode:

[wpv-view name="my-view" related="[wpv-post-id]"]
OR
[get-children][wpv-post-title][/get-children]

Please share a URL of the page or Elementor template where you are using the shortcode. Add a screenshot to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
