I see that the ticket is resolved.

Unfortunately, my weekend came again between the posts.

I have close this ticket here as well, please do not hesitate to open a new one with us in case any issues surge.

ha thats no problem beda i hope you had a great weekend!! i have this ticket here https://toolset.com/forums/topic/filter-results/ , i relaly don't like the outcome, this would mean me scrapping toolset and sarting again altogether , the pages without filter become useless and un navigable very quickly.....could you confirm this is the case as you seem very knowledgeable on the search and filter stuff!!
thanks

I think you want to filter by fields of a Post Type A, that is related to a Post Type B.
Currently, you view Post Type B and want to have the filter by Post Type A's fields.

That should be perfectly possible, you can create a View, list post type A, add a query filter to show only items related to the current post where the view is shown (make sure to choose the right relationship) and then add a custom front end filter by the fields of that post type A.
You can then insert this View to a post of type B, which has some Post Type A related posts and will see a list of those, and a search allowing you to search in their fields.

It might be that I misunderstand but that is what it seems after I also looked at the backend of your site.

So if you want to search by Judge Custom Field in a Post of Dog type, then you need to list those Judges in a View (as related tot he current post where the view is shown) and add custom filters of the Judges fields
Then the view gets inserted to a Dog post and will show judges data filterable by its fields.

If Shane cannot instruct you further on this, you may ask him to assign me the ticket, I hope I do not misunderstand the goal.

My apologies if I was not clear above, and even more apologies for the questions I have to ask on the other ticket.

See you there 🙂
