I am trying to create a form where users can create a child post for their private parent post, but the users private parent posts do not show up in the forms relationship box. If I make the posts public they appear just fine.

It looks like someone asked a similar question last year but there is no update to the ticket and no one has responded to my inquiry on the status there: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/relationship-select-box-in-cred-form-wont-show-private-posts/

Can you please let me know if this functionality will be available soon or if I should find a different solution for this project?

The site is just a prototype with a standard WP install and the latest version of Toolset. No themes or other functionality has been enabled yet, and I don't have a URL to share for this site.

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I checked on the status of the status on the escalated thread attached to the post you've provided.

It seems that our development team said these should've been fixed in version 2.3.3 of CRED however i'm not seeing in the changelog where it was fixed.

Reading the reasoning on the post it seems that its quite a bit more complex that it seems and would require a custom query to include the private post status because CRED would include the posts that are publicly queryable . In this case a regular user isn't able to see private posts on the frontend.

I will update you with any new information as i've asked for an update on this.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

There has been a forms 2.3.4 release.

Could you install this versions and let me know if the issue still remains.

Thanks,
Shane

No - the issue remains exactly the same.

Updated to 2.3.4 and can still only see the parent posts if they are set to public.

Tried creating new posts and even a new form to see if that would help. Still the same result. It does not appear that anything has changed.

Hello,

I must apologize for the delay in getting this fixed but as it seems there are many technical issues for this as to why its taking so long.

It seems that it was originally planned for Cred 2.3.3 but I checked the ticket again after your reply and its now scheduled for version 2.4
