Tell us what you are trying to do?
I recently created a Single Product Template and inserted a post field below the Featured Image and this field shows up on the front end. I wanted to add a line of text above the Post Description - see screenshot.

However, when I went to edit the Template, I do not see the 'Post description' fiend and I dont know where to insert the text. Why is it that the Post description is not showing on the back end but is on the front end?

Is there any documentation that you are following? creating Single Product Templates

Is there a similar example that we can see? This is the post: hidden link

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Hi Gina

With products the description is the post body (or post content).

So if you have a custom template for products and have inserted the post body, that's what's outputting the description on the front-end, and what you will need to locate in the template if you want to add some text before it.

Sorry I did not phrase the question more clearly. I am trying to edit the Template and do not see the field for Post Description at all - see attached.

If I can't see where the field for Post body is then I dont know how to amend it. I dont know why it's not showing up on the Bank End but works on the Front End

Check this screenshot on how to add the content of a post. I assume, by description, you meant the post body. hidden link

For an easy usage of Blocks, the block editor provides a "Block navigation" check this screenshot hidden link

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you that helps. I tried everything but the post body was not showing up and now it is.

I have a follow up question about the formatting of the Post Body - on the back end, the post body is formatted with font type, and bullet points - see attached.

However when I see the post body on the front end, all of the formatting is list and especially the bullet points are gone. Why is this happening? Is there something that I can do to fix the formatting so the front end looks the same as the back end?

I believe this is another issue that is related to classic content styles when used inside a single field block. For that reason, I created a new ticket and I'll be posting my replies on it.
