[Resolved] Can't save CPT because slug is already used

This support ticket is created 4 years, 11 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

My host has confirmed that you have been blocked because of .htaccess.

He has now added your IP 103.75.126.250 to the whitelist. You should be able to login now.

Hi,

That slug is /careers/ not /career/.

The CPT slug is /career/ without the 's'.

Yes but you need to keep in mind both singular and plural names.

For testing purpose - can you change the slug of the post I shared to career-page and check.

Hi, I have changed the page with the slug /careers/ to /career-page/ and that didn't work.

As suspected the issue was the same - there was a career slug is used for the following posts:
=> hidden link [slug changed from career to career-do-not-know]
=> hidden link [slug changed from career to career-media]

As soon as I changed the slug I can see its working.

The post type get saved successfully.
