This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am unable to register or update my plugins because it says the site key is invalid for this site.

Solution:
There is currently an issue affecting new and existing registrations and site keys. Go to Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab and click 'Check for Updates'. Delete the site key and re-register the site to produce a new site key. Check for updates again.

I am trying to: register my licence but getting error. I see notification that there is a new version of the plugin, but I can't automatically update because plugin is not registered.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: any

I expected to see: Registration Complete

Instead, I got: Invalid site key for the current site

Hi, our developers are aware of an issue affecting new and existing User registrations, and we're working on a solution now. Please try the following troubleshooting steps first:
- Go to Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab. Click "Check for Updates" to trigger a refresh of the version numbers.
- Unregister all Toolset plugins from the site, then delete your existing site key from toolset.com/account/sites. Then you can re-register the site to generate a new key, and try that key in wp-admin.
- Deactivate and delete Types 2.3.1, then install Types 3.0 using the zip archive from toolset.com/account/downloads.

Sorry for the inconvenience here, we hope to have the automatic update issue resolved very soon.

Dear Christian,

Thanks for your response.

With this -
- Go to Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab. Click "Check for Updates" to trigger a refresh of the version numbers.

I have no "Check for Updates" button on that page.

- Unregister all Toolset plugins from the site, then delete your existing site key from toolset.com/account/sites. Then you can re-register the site to generate a new key, and try that key in wp-admin.

I deleted the site and key from Toolset.com and then re-registered it, then inserted the new key but unfortunately got the same error "Invalid site key for the current site.".

- Deactivate and delete Types 2.3.1, then install Types 3.0 using the zip archive from toolset.com/account/downloads

I will do this, can you please confirm that deleting Types 2.3.1 will not erase all my settings? Is there a way to backup?

Thanks again

Your settings and content will be maintained. If you'd like to make a backup first, I recommend creating a SQL dump file from your database using phpMyAdmin or your host's control panel. That should be sufficient to restore the current setup if anything goes wrong during the migration.

Hi again,

I managed to update manually and after deleting site from toolset.com and re-registering it again it has finally accepted the new key 🙂

Thanks!
