[Closed] can’t register

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Trying to register toolset on one of my sites.

I keep getting this error: Connection error: Unable to get data from service. Detailed error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds

I've disabled all security, no firewall running, just a straight wordpress install on godaddy.

Not sure what else I should be looking for.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

What if you try to follow the following steps and check if that help you to resolve your issue.

- Unregister the site key by clicking on the link "Unregister Toolset from this site "
=> hidden link
- Delete the site key from your account.
- Go to Plugins => Add New => click on the Commercial tab and
- Generate the new site key and register it following the steps: 1, 2, 3, and 4 given with the following link:

Hello Minesh,
thanks for the response 🙂 I guess I maybe don't understand, if i'm not able to register the code, how am I supposed to unregister? there is no option to "unregister" as you have suggested. the only option i see if to register toolset.

this is what I have tried by using the sitekey

when I put the code in and click register, this is what i get, see image attached.

The cURL 28 error indicates that your website blocks access most probably due to having a firewall.

Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to whitelist the following domains:

api.toolset.com
cloudfront.net

Can you please check the mentioned domains are whitelisted and check if that allow you to register the site key.

This is the message I got from godaddy support

"This is a shared hosting plan, so there are no firewalls active within the product itself. Additionally, I can see that you do not have any Website Security products activated, which means that a firewall is not enabled from GoDaddy's end."

Ok. I'm not sure whats blocking your site.

What if you try to generate a new site key and try to register - does that helps?

Ok, tried a new key, still the same problem. not sure what it might be. never had this issue before with toolset 🙂

That is strange.

Can you please send me admin access details and let me check what's going wrong with your setup.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
