Can't edit Views anymore (Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.)

This support ticket is created 3 years, 4 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hello,

I don't know since when, but we aren't able to edit any views anymore...

Even on a very reduced clone of the live site (only Types and Views, plus 2021 theme) it isn't possible.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Can you please navigate to:
=> Toolset => Settings => General tab => Editing experience section => Select the option "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" and then refresh the page. You should be able to see the views menu.

I hope this helps you to resolve your issue.

Thank you a lot, this works...

But this also enables the "Classic Editor", which we don't want users to use.

It is not really obvious, that this disables (legacy) Views.

It should be more obvious, that this option disables usage of legacy Views... We thought this would just disable the classic editor for users.

if you want to access views, you will have to keep that settings.

There are three settings with "Editing Experience" section, either use legacy views, either use only block or use both.
