I am unable to edit a custom post type that I previously was able to edit without issue. I'm just delivered to a blank page. Here is a brief screen recording demonstrating the problem: hidden link. The url syntax is hidden link

Is there any steps I could take to re-enable editing?

Hey there,

Welcome to the Toolset support forum!

Could you please tell me if:

- is this happening only to this post, or also to the other one listed below the mentioned one? And to new ones created?
- by opening your devtools, can you see any error in the ‘console’ tab?

Moreover, we might be facing an interaction issue with a third-party functionality, in this case:

- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to Toolset
- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one
- If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue

Please let me know if after the above procedure you can find the culprit for this behavior. Further, so that we can take a better look at this, could you please attach the Debug info?

You can see how to retrieve and paste it here: https://toolset.com/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/.

In addition to that, I'd also like your help enabling the WordPress debug mode.

To do so, please add the following code in wp-config.php file of your site:

// Enable WP_DEBUG mode
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

// Disable display of errors and warnings
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

// Use dev versions of core JS and CSS files (only needed if you are modifying these core files)
define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

Please check following links to read more about debugging with WordPress.

https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#Example_wp-config.php_for_Debugging

After doing that please try to edit the post once more, then check if you can find a file debug.log inside the wp-content folder. Kindly open it and send us the last lines of log here in this ticket.

Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

Best regards,
Mateus.

Hi Mateus,

Thanks for checking in.

I can confirm that this occurs when editing existing posts or creating new ones one of this custom post type. I'm include the log text. I'm afraid that our organization does not permit us to edit wp-config.php

Attached is a screenshot of the chrome console.

Here is the toolset debug output:

Hello,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://toolset.com/privacy-policy-and-gdpr-compliance/#data-shared-with-our-support
**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.
