I'm trying to edit a view. I've followed this guide: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/remove-edit-views/

However, I get the message "Edit is not supported for this view". How can I resolve this so the view is editable?

I don't know the history of your site to know why it is displaying the "Edit is not supported..." message.

Ordinarily from that page that lists the Views, any View created with the block editor will provide an edit link to the page or template where the View was inserted.

In any case, for Views created using the block editor, the View can only be edited where it was created (e.g. a page, or a Content Template), so find the page or template in question and edit that, and there you will be able to make changes to your View.

Hi Luke,

What appears to be happening here is that this page isn't the original page that the view was created on.

If you go to Toolset->Views and then click on the scan button where your view is then you should see the pages that has this view on it.

You should be able to locate the original view through this means.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey,

It's definitely the same page the view was originally created on. I've just created a new view on that page, refreshed it and encountered the same issue.

Hi Luke,

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a more detailed look at this for you ?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Luke,

I had a look at the views for you and I suspect that these are new views without any edits?

In this case I would suggest remaking the views completely and from there you should be able to perform the edits on your view. I've tried creating a new view on the site and I was able to edit the new view without any issues.

Thanks,
Shane
