[Resolved] Can't activate Types and Views

This support ticket is created 5 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I want to activate the Types and Views. I paste the key from my Toolset account, click OK and then the round icon rotates endlessly. I checked several times and I have carefully copied the key.

I also checked the way: deleting this domain from the list of registered sites in my account and registering it again.

I think problem is in somewhere else.
Please help.

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Essentially you are saying that the registration takes forever to load.

Sound like there might be a conflict that is preventing the key from being saved. Could you temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and try re-registering the plugins.

I have deactivated all plugins except Views and Types.
Unfortunately, I still can not register.

Hi Tomas,

I took a look and noticed the issue.

Is there a way for you to check the PHP logs of your site to see if there are any errors being thrown there ? It seems something is causing the issue and we want to check all the possible culprits.

Also could you change the theme to a default wordpress theme and try registering the site as well.

Thanks for the express action!

I did a test and change theme, unfortunately it did not help.

And I don't have any access to the logs. But I ask in hosting company and let you know soon.

The hosting company made a blockade of outgoing calls to this account.
After verifying that there are no threats, the blockade has been removed.
Now I have registered plugins without any problem 🙂
I am sorry Shane for turning your head away, I was not aware of it.

But I have other problem. The body text is not displayed on the welcome page, please look at picture 1.
When I turn off Views plugin, the text appears (picture 2).
Interestingly, Views does not affect the display of body text on the other pages.
What could be the reason for this?

Hi Tomas

Happy to see that you were able to register the plugins.

I suspect that the issue you are having now is that your post is attached to an empty content template.

To check this go to the post and edit it and then on the edit page click "edit content template"

This should take you to the content template. If it is empty i would recommend that you click on the fields and views button to start adding items to the template

Shane, you suspect the problem well!
My client has changed the content template for home page.
In my user's view of the edit page, the block with the template selection from the drop down list was hidden, so I did not notice it. I have no words...
