I have added a custom user field to a custom user but I cannot view the field itself in the wp-admin user screen. I have enabled the the user field for the custom user role, but nothing happens.

Can you please clarify what user custom field you created and with what user custom field group and send me admin access details.
Also, Do you mean that you do not see the custom user field on edit user profile page?

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
