[Resolved] Cannot use blog posts because using the Cred plugin for another page
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The issue here is that the user wanted to create a blog page for their default wordpress blogs.
Solution:
For the blog page what you can do is to create a Page for the blog by going to Pages-> Add New
Then after creating this page you will go to Settings -> Reading and then set the page that you have just created to be your blog page.

I am trying to: I had someone create a cred form for my client to upload her own content to be displayed on a page. (puppies for sale) But he said she cannot use the blog/posts. Here is my what my programmer said regarding that issue. I use Themify Themes.
For the individual post - Toolset needs to know what archive post type to use. by default it uses the ’single.php’ template used for all individual posts in WordPress. So I went into the Themify settings for individual posts and adjusted some settings - taking out the feature image and metadata - the only thing i left on was the page title, which gives the name of the dog as a title. I am not sure if your sites will have blogs or news, but if they do, these settings would end up affected those. I just don’t know with this theme another quick and easy way of changing or creating a new template and archive for the custom post type. I tend to use different themes that allow me access to that stuff.

I expected to see: I'd like to have a blog for my client too. What can we do to make that happen with the way it is set up.
No, I do not want anything changed with my site as it is now. I paid someone to set up my toolset plugin and forms exactly how i want them. He just mentioned, the site owner will not be able to use their blog posts because of the way the toolset is set up now. But I can't afford to pay for more programming my site. I just thought you might know a quick way we can blog with posts as well as use the customized toolset pages that he has created for me.
We use toolset and cred forms and the info is shown on the puppies for sale page. The client can submit their info easily on the front end and it is displayed, but now they cannot use the normal posts.
That is correct. I have a home page and not a posts page set up for the blog. But the customer adds their info the cred form and it is displayed on the "puppies for sale" page. However, the programmer that created my toolset "setup" said we couldn't use the blog now because of the issue with the way toolset is working. I'm not sure. So I'm going to discourage my customer to blog. Which would only show up as a blog or news page, once I create it. It wouldn't show up anywhere else like a real posts page would I assume. Just thought I'd see if there was a solution to having both working.
By the way, is it possible for my client to enter a youtube embedded code to have a video display on the page now like we have it set up? If so , how can we do that?
