[Resolved] Cannot insert an EDIT POST LINK in View Loop

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am trying to insert an Edit Post Link shortcode inside the loop of a View, but I keep seeing an error message "Create a new Layout that will include the editing form. You can start from scratch or copy the template you use to display the content and modify it."

Solution: When using Toolset Layouts, it's best to place the Form in a Layout using a Forms cell rather than a Visual Editor cell.

Tell us what you are trying to do? Add an EDIT POST LINK shortcode to a View Loop of User's Posts

Is there any documentation that you are following? Tried numerous and read dozens of forum posts

Is there a similar example that we can see? Not certain.

What is the link to your site? hidden link

----

I have created a form (screenshot1.jpg). I then created a layout where in inserted the form (screenshot2.jpg). I then created a page and added the template to the page (screenshot3.jpg). I then created a View, with a loop showing clubs belonging to the logged in user. I'm trying to add the EDIT POST LINK to this loop where shown (screenshot4.jpg), by clicking on Toolset Forms > Edit Post Link (screenshot5.jpg). I always get the message shown in (screenshot6.jpg).

Am I missing something?

I tried following the steps here: https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/publish-content-from-the-front-end/forms-for-editing/

Hi, as a test can you replace the Visual Editor cell shown in screenshot2.jpg with an Edit Post Form cell? Note that the process for editing posts with Layouts active is slightly different, and has its own documentation page here: https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/publish-content-from-the-front-end/building-forms-for-editing-when-using-layouts/
