[Resolved] Can toolset filter be used with the regular archives from WP?

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I want to use a custom PHP template for an archive or single page while maintaining Toolset’s filtering capabilities. However, Toolset requires using its own archives for filters, and I would like to retain regular WooCommerce functionality as much as possible.

Solution:

Toolset filters cannot be used in a standard WordPress archive. However, you can create a Toolset WP archive and use a custom PHP shortcode to insert content in the desired sections while keeping the Toolset filtering functionality.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I couldn't find a definitive answer to this while searching.

I'd like to use a custom php template for the archive page/single page but toolset requires usage of its own archives to use the filtering capabilities.

Is there a way to use a custom php template? Through something? Maybe I can generate a shortcode? I'd like to keep as regular wc functionality as possible ideally while using the filter from Toolset which is really good.

Hi,

You can not use Toolset filter in a regular WordPress archive, but you can create a Toolset WP archive and in the section that you want to add the content, you can use shortcode.

You can create a shortcode in PHP and use it in the Toolset archive page.

Thanks.
