Hi Guys,

When a user, of a certain role, the user is unable to edit their own user profile/data. When they are no longer that role, they can edit their profile.

Error is:

"The user was not saved because of the following problem:

This form can not edit users with a role of XXX"

(Role is not displayed if there are multiple roles).

Have checked Access Control for forms, the appropriate boxes are ticked, so not sure the issue.

Is there somewhere else I should be checking?

Hi Terry,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Can you confirm that the form that you're using is set to edit the role of that current user? Also does the user have multiple roles ?

If they do can you select both roles on the edit form and let me know if this helps ?

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane,

Found the extra tick boxes at the top of the form - so now if the user has a single role, that is now working 🙂

However, if the user has two roles, the form is not saved.

"The user was not saved because of the following problem:
This form can not edit users with a role of"

(Role is not displayed if there are multiple roles).

Hi Terry,

I believe the issue here is that Toolset forms doesn't support the editing of users with Multiple roles.

The user will require a single role in order for them to be edited on the frontend.

Thanks,
Shane

Ok, no worries. Will work around the issue I guess.

Although form memory, it's fine on another site that uses the same system :-/
