I would like to allow the editing of a single field of a custom post type based on the user role.
For example the custom type includes these fields:
1. User name
2. User title
3. User question
If the role of the current user is X then they can only edit the user question field.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
I could not find any that matched this issue
Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
You can use Toolset Access control for the custom fields based on the role but it applies on custom field group.
So, if you have want to have different permission for all three fields, you will have to add three custom field group and add one custom field to each group and then assign role based permission to each custom field group.
