[Resolved] Caching for Google Maps or alternative map provider

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that google will be updating their pricing scheme for their Google Maps API and this customer wanted to know if there is an alternative maps api that they can use.

Solution:

Our development team has already been made aware of this and should be working on a solution. At this point I cannot say what the solution is as yet.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

As I am using Toolset Maps on many pages of my blog and Google is drastically changing their policies for map requests, I would like to know, if there is any possibility to cache maps to reduce the number of requests or if you are planning to offer an alternative map provider like Open Streetmaps.

Or do you have any other ideas, how I could continue to use toolset views with another map provider?

It will not be a problem currently, but in the long term I would need to switch to an alternative solution to save money.
