[Resolved] Unable to place Form fields side-by-side in the same row

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am having trouble placing Form fields side-by-side, as in multiple columns in a single row. I have tried enabling the Bootstrap library versions 3 and 4, but neither seems to help.

Solution: Enable either one of the Bootstrap options, then use the drag-and-drop editor to drag multiple fields into the same row. See a demonstration of the drag-and-drop technique here:

I am trying to add text fields side by side but it's not working

#2086791

Hello, can you show me a screenshot describing how you are adding these fields, and a URL where I can see the resulting problem on the front-end of your site? I'll be glad to take a closer look.

Sorry I didn't explain that very well. What I mean is I can't drag and drop the text fields one next to the other in the post forms section of the plugin so it's not something I can easily take a screenshot of because it's not on the front end.

Usually one of the options to load Bootstrap 3 or Bootstrap 4 in Toolset > Settings > General solves the problem where columns don't work as expected in the drag-and-drop Form builder interface. If that is not the case here, can you try these troubleshooting steps next?
- Configure Toolset to load Bootstrap 3 in Toolset > Settings > General.
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types, Blocks (or Views) and Forms. Temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Twenty One. Temporarily deactivate all custom code snippets in Toolset > Settings > Custom Code.
- Clear your browser cache and test again
- If the problem is resolved, reactivate your theme, custom code snippets, and other plugins one by one, clearing your cache and testing columns each time until the problem returns.
- If the problem is not resolved, I'll need to take a closer look in wp-admin. I can activate private reply fields here so you can share login credentials securely.

Hi, it looks like I need an additional login for the basic HTTP authentication. I tried the information you provided but was unable to get past this login. Can you provide this user/password in the private fields here?

Okay I was able to log in, thank you. I am able to drag fields into the same row in the Form builder here:

I have uploaded a screen recording of my test here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13iw2idAawUFu1v5JcICqKHbhY_hNcwy3/view?usp=sharing

Can you take a look and see if we are experiencing things differently, or if there is something I'm overlooking? Maybe there is something stuck in browser cache...can you be sure to clear your browser cache when testing? If you are still having problems, can you tell me what browser you are using so I can test in the same browser?

Thanks for your help. My issue is resolved having realised the technique I need to use to get it to work for me.

Perfect, thanks for the update.
