I expected to see: The View

Instead, I got: Nothing

Hi elliot,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I suspect that this one might be caused by a plugin conflict. What you can try doing is to temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and trying again to see if the issue remains.

If it does pleasse try switching to a default wordpress theme with the plugins disabled.

Please let me know the results of this.
Thanks,
Shane

I deactivated every plugin and switched to default theme and saw no change. Source code looks like it's trying to display a piece of content related to the active page. When I'm working on the actual view on the blocks editor, it only shows one piece of content not a full preview.

I can select a view I created with the old Views creator and it will display multiple items. It seems like an issue upgrading from the old views plugin maybe.

I'm in a time crunch so I'm going to build this with the old views editor but I'm happy to help create a clone of the site if you want to test this.

Hi elliot,

To save some time I can create a clone of this site here locally to test out.

Please let me know if I can go ahead and install the duplicator plugin on the site to create the copy.

Thanks,
Shane

Yes that's fine. I uninstalled the blocks plugin for now so I can build the view out in the classic views editor.

Hi Elliot,

You actually could've kept the blocks plugin enabled and just set it to use the classic editor. Essentially our Blocks plugin and Views plugin are the same. The difference is that views comes with the classic editor enabled by default.

To change this you can go to Toolset->Settings-> Editing experience. From here you can set the default editor for our Views or blocks plugin.

Hopefully this provides some clarity for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Elliot,

I'm having some issues setting up the backup.

Could you let me know how the SSL was enabled on this site as my localhost doesn't have ssl setup and i need to disable it to successfully restore the backup.

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

So this client is a bit of a pain. They insisted on hosting themselves so I don't know exactly how they set up SSL. I think it's just on Managed Godaddy hosting so I'd be surprised if it was anything special.

Hi Elliot,

No worries I will see what I can do to try and replicate this issue to see if there is a bug here.

For now you can continue using the workaround with the classic editor.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Elliot,

Since i'm not able to get the locally copy working i'm not able to debug the issue adequately.

However would it be possible to setup a test site with this replicated for me ? Or would I be able to perform the debugging on the site that you've sent previously.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane
