[Resolved] Blank page when updated content or created new CPT

The Toolset Community Forum is closed, for technical support questions, please head on to our Toolset Professional Support (for paid clients), with any pre-sale or admin question please contact us here.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Since the last update of Toolset and WordPress, editing or creating new content of a custom post type, causes a blank screen on my website. How to solve this?

Solution:
As of today, it was a compatibility issue between Toolset Types v2.2.13 and Jetpack plugin. This issue has a patch fix already as you can see here: https://toolset.com/errata/saving-a-post-with-a-file-field-may-produce-an-error-if-jetpack-is-installed/

So you can apply this patch by following the instructions in the above page. This fix will be included in upcoming versions of Toolset as well.

Hello,
Since the last update of toolset and wordpress, editing or creating new content of a custom post type, causes a blank screen on my website.
If I only update Types in 2.2.13 and continue to use wordpress with version 4.7.5, it's okay ... but update 4.8 has broken the process Types ...
On my other toolset sites everything is well ...
Thank you for your help.
Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

Thank you for contacting Toolset Support. I am not able to reproduce this issue, I am also using WordPress 4.8 and Types 2.2.13 at my local site without any problem. Please Enable WordPress debugging in your site and look for any errors on the page or in error_log file with WordPress 4.8: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/debugging-toolset/

Other things you can try:
1. Please delete Toolset Types plugin from WordPress dashboard (make sure there is no Types related folder, for example “wp-types” exists in your FTP, if you see any Types folders in FTP then please delete it)
Don’t worry all of your Toolset data will be kept as it is.

2. Update WordPress to 4.8. And then re-install Toolset plugins again from Commercial Tab in WordPress Dashboard.

OR You can download and install from your account: https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

3. MySQL 5.5.52 version in your site, is lower than the required for Toolset. Please upgrade MySQL version and see if this resolves the issue or not. You can see the minimum Toolset requirements here: https://toolset.com/toolset-requirements/

4. If still issue exists, could you please also try to check it by deactivating all third-party plugins and switching back to the Default Theme (e.g. Twenty Sixteen theme) to see for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?

Thank you

I have just found out that its a compatibility issue between Toolset and Jetpack plugin. This issue has a patch fix already as you can see here: https://toolset.com/errata/saving-a-post-with-a-file-field-may-produce-an-error-if-jetpack-is-installed/
