Tell us what you are trying to do?
This happens on all sites I work on, not just the one I selected in this ticket. When I open a Beaver Builder module for editing, text input fields collapse horizontally as soon as I click inside the field to input text. See the attached image. This happens with essentially every BB module with a text input. The first click inside a field almost always invokes the Toolset + sign and shrinks the size of the input. I then need to click again to enter or edit text. Is there a way to disable this behavior?
Is there any documentation that you are following?
No. Just basic usage.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
The attached image shows an example of the behavior.
What is the link to your site?
This occurs on many, many sites. The behavior has been happening for a few years. I just finally got frustrated enough having to perform extra clicks for every edit, that I decided to ask if there is a fix or setting I can use.
Thank you!
Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.
We have had only one report of this issue the last year, and it was fixed by updating to WP 5.6. No other users have reported this since then, or at least I could not find any track of a report.
If you would like to reproduce this issue on one of our test sites, I'll be happy to escalate it again to our 2nd Tier team for another evaluation before it gets to our compatibility developers.

Install Beaver Builder and let us know where we can see the issue.
Hi there,
As requested, I added beaver builder to the sandbox site and added an icon module with instructions about how to duplicate the issue. hidden link
When I logged in to reply, I was reminded I reported the same issue over 2 years ago. https://toolset.com/forums/topic/toolset-hijacking-beaver-builder-field-connections/
I hope this behavior can be addressed.
Thank you!
Thank you very much for your collaboration. I am escalating a copy of this test site along with the internal ticket for the developers.
I am afraid, I can't tell when this could be addressed. But, I'll keep you informed as soon as we have something to share.
