Tell us what you are trying to do?
I want to create a front end form to create new Fusion sliders and slides using the existing fusion slider post type and taxonomies.
However when I create the form the fusion slider post type doesn't appear in the drop down selection field.
The Fusion Slider Taxonomies is also not recognized by toolset in taxonomies menu option.
Any guidance on creating these frontend forms for the Avada Fusion Slider and Slides.
Thx
Waldo
The toolset cannot control 3rd party post types or taxonomies in Toolset > Post Types or Toolset > Taxonomies menus (unless native and/or integrated).
In Toolset Forms, if the post type you want to create is not public, you can't create forms for it either.
You could add 3rd party Fields to Forms with the Fields control in Toolset > Post Forms > Fields Control (see also https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/front-end-forms/letting-cred-edit-custom-fields-created-by-other-plugins/)
But that won't work for complex fields - only for simple fields like single lines (as the syntax of complex fields would require to know its syntax, which is not possible as the third party.)
Did you know you can build sliders with just Toolset?
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/creating-sliders-with-types-and-views/
Maybe this can help?
Hi
I understand the principle, however I can see both avada portfolios and FAQ custom post types in the form creation process.
Just wondered why the sliders aren’t visible

Hi, as Beda said the Fusion Slider post type isn't public so it cannot be managed with Forms. When a 3rd-party creates a post type or taxonomy in their software, they have the option to make it public or private. If you'd like to know why the Avada developers chose to make some of their proprietary post types and taxonomies public but not others, that's more of a question for the Avada team. I hope that clarifies things, Toolset doesn't really have control over their public/private settings.
Great thx that clarifies it for me I’ll check with avada to see what they say.
My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
