[Resolved] Autocomplete for text search

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem

Is it possible to create autocompleting text field searches with Toolset Views?

Solution

No, this feature does not exist in Toolset Views.

There are feature Requests filed, where people ask to add Select2, which would include this.

There are no plans yet to implement this, but we upvote the request for you if you let us know.

Is there autocomplete for a search field in the filter?

I tried relevanassi plugin in combination of the relevanassi autocompleet plugin but that doesn't work.

Is there autocomplete for a search field in the filter (in a view)?

There are no plans yet to implement this, but I added your voice there.

Unfortunately, this requires several additions to Toolset Views, which I can not provide here in the forum, it would be out of the scope of the support.

If you require this in a short time, eventually the Toolset Contractors can help:
https://toolset.com/contractors/

Depending on how many votes we receive for this kind of request, and on many other factors, we will in future decide whether or not to add this possibility.

For now, it's not possible using Toolset Views GUI.

But instead of an autocomplete, you could just use a simple Select field or any other, where all the possible options are present already (so you do not need to type, but chose pick).

Eventually, those can be manipulated so to use Select2, which provides autocomplete.
But - this is what I cannot provide a ready to go solution here in the forum since it would enhance Views by a considerable feature, not just a small adjustment.

Again, the Contractors might be able to help here.
