Archive page and limit amount of posts displayed

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have an archive page with listings of Artists, I wish to know how to limit the amount of posts displayed before pagination kicks in.
I have WordPress set up to display only 8 on the blog page and would like to match this on the archive page of the custom post to have some semblance of continuity within the site.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

I don't think an example is necessary, its pretty straight forward
