I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Without any answer, I tried to go back to an older version of the plugin but the bug still occurs.
I checked on your site and I can see you are using child theme and created the author.php file.
What template you created where its working - are you sure you are using same template? if yes:
In order to minimize the cause of the issue and to ensure there is no issue between the third-party plugins you are using:
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins as well as the default theme to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins or themes?
