[Resolved] an issue between Gutenberg editor and custom post type

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user is using the gutenberg editor but their content is not saving.

Solution:

This was tested locally with the minimal toolset install and it works fine.

I suspect that another plugin is causing this issue and as such I would recommend temporarily disabling all the non-toolset plugins and trying again.

I got an issue when I took to use Gutenberg. when I preview a built-in post or page, that works fine. but if I preview a custom post type, that doesn't work. I am certain that issue caused by custom post type, moreover, I have set custom post type option as show_in_rest. Just report this issue. 🙂

Hi Jeffery,

I just tested this on my test site and the editor works and the preview on the frontend works. See Screenshot.

Are there any errors being generated in the website's console ?

Could you disable all the non-toolset plugins with the exception of the gutenburg editor and let me know if the issue still remains?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, thank you so much for the reply. that should be caused by complicated factors, I have deactivated all of others plugin except Toolset plugins, but nothing was changed. the built-in post type shows up the Url with suffix with ?p=173107&preview=true, the custom post type shows "about:blank". but Guten works fine on another site of mine. So it may be caused by other conflicts that were not associated with Toolset. so close this ticket. Thank you again!
