[Resolved] Repeatable field groups conditions

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Currently with custom fields you can add a display condition which operates with JS so that some field is only exposed once another field has been set to a matching value.

If you try the same with fields used in a repeatable field group you’ll find there is no such JS action to modify the display of a dependent field in real time, you need to set a field value then save and reload the page for the dependent field’s display to be affected.

Solution:
Solved in latest Types releases

"“The conditions of this Field Group cannot be changed as long as a Repeatable Group or a Post Reference field is used.”

I understand the reason of just 1 post type condition, but would id be possible to allow additional conditions like “Data-Dependant”?

The reason why I do need this is that I use a Types select to show different kind of meta boxes. hidden link

Now, when I use the repeatable field groups in pages I always see all possible Fields hidden link and I want to avoid that by this approche hidden link

This is a feature request, as I understand this.

For these cases, we have a special workflow.

We will file and evaluate the request and eventually implement it.
It will depend on a lot of factors, as well your and other users votes.

I find it strange that we can easily set any condition, but not change this - I do not understand why that should be at all.

Hence, I will treat this first as an important request.
I will consult the developers and update you here

Thank you so much 🙂

Turns out this is a BUG.
Hence, it will be solved in the process of development that is ongoing.

It's not a new feature to be added (this is good for you, the solution will come faster).

As you know right now you can set any condition the first time you save the field group.
After, it becomes blocked, and that we are going to solve.

Thank you for the report and patience.
