Hello there how's it going?
I used the toolset views plugin for custom searches and set the views search, filtering and sorting option to update the search results without reloading the page. I am tracking the search query parameters and need a clean parameter like so &wpv-product_cat=comedy.
However everytime I update one of the filters and the results update, a weird placeholder is added to the query parameter before the = symbol like so &wpv-product_cat%5B%5D=comedy.
Why does this happen and how can I remove %5B%5D, because this way I cannot pass the value "comedy" to google analytics.

The search works just fine without %5B%5D
Cheers,
Nick

%5B%5D stands for [] in case there's somebody out there with a similar problem
