I am trying to: publish a post, but some custom fields are not being saved. This is happening after the last update to 2.5
Also some forms do not work as the button PUBLISH is not active
Please advise, thx

There seem to be 2 issues, which I'd like to separate.

1. Some fields are not saving
2. Some Forms submit buttons aren't active

Please, can you provide steps for both issues, if replicable?
If you do not know how to replicate this on a simple install (maybe it's a complex setup you use), you could provide a copy of this site, with links to the Forms, the page with forms, Fields and posts involved, so I could look at this locally.

Given you mention the issues are due to the update, I suspect some conflict introduced which may be solved by:
- re-save the option how the Form uploads media (if you chose "use WordPress media manager", re-save that once).
- check if you use any Custom JS, or any other plugin loads jQuery or other libraries like Select2, and if those plugins, when disabled, let the issue disappear.

I can check locally on a copy, if and how the issue persists.
You can see here how to create a copy of the site https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

Still does not work, so we reinstalled the Forms 2.3.5 that was stable and worked for us (Access is 2.7.1)
The problem now is that we cannot edit any of the forms in the back-end (post / user forms) - we see that on the above link "CRED_Forms#no_privileges"
hidden link
we checked in Access and everything looks fine
please advice, thx

Please also update the Forms plugin again to the latest version, it is not safe generally to downgrade.

Since you confirm the issue happens as well without any other software, at this point I cannot other but to look at a copy of this site, because locally I cannot replicate something similar yet.
