Tell us what you are trying to do? Hi, for added security we have ip restrictions to the /wp-admin folder, but in doing so, admin-ajax.php is not accessible.

Is there any documentation that you are following? no

Is there a similar example that we can see? hidden link
When selecting options, the filters are not updating.

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Is there anyway to move the file to the plugins area? Why are scripts that need to be executed on the public facing site in the admin directory?

Thank you

I didn't realize that admin-ajax.php is a WP default script. I'll work with my IT to resolve the issue. Unless you know of another way.

Thank you.

Yes, that's correct, all ajax requests in WordPress go through the WordPress core file admin-ajax.php, except in cases where plugins use their own bespoke solutions, but we use the core WordPress method.
