[Resolved] Activating Toolset Types removes the WordPress Posts > Categories menu option

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The user looses the default posts' categories menu item when Toolset Types is activated.

Solution:
This may happen because of a compatibility conflict with the theme's or other plugins, or because of a misconfiguration in Toolset->Post Types->Posts(edit), you can access it directly with this URL /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf-edit-type&wpcf-post-type=post
Make sure that Categories are checked in the "Taxonomies to be used with" section.

Toolset Bug.jpg

I need access to the categories for generic posts. The page is usually found at:
hidden link

I can open the page manually, but the categories option under the Posts menu is missing unless I deactivate Toolset Types. (See photo attached.)

If you need site access, just let me know.

Much Thanks,
- Paige

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

If this does not help fix it, I'll suspect a compatibility conflict. Check if this happens when:
- Only Toolset plugins are activated. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with another plugin.
- The theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty-Twenty. It will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme.
If the problem disappears, start activating one at a time to track where the incompatibility is produced.

If nothing of the above helped, we'll need to take a copy of your website and debug it locally. Let me know if that's fine with you.
