[Resolved] Access to media library

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to know if it was possible to allow for the upload buttons on the frontend to gain access to the media library.

Solution:
Unfortunately this is not quite possible yet, however it is on our approved feature requests.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

I need access to the media library via a cred / forms.

There seems to be some requests over the last years. Maybe I missed one with a solution!?

As the form is only accessable through an logged in admin - that should be possible?

Thx / Sascha

Hi Sascha,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

The only way to access the media library from the frontend is if you have the Add Media button above your WYSIWYG editor.

It is not possible to do with the Upload fields from the frontend.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane.

That´s sad! Are there any plans to give us the chance for choosing? Maybe as a seperate field option.

We´re working with a special wp media structure - so choosing images via media library is necessary.

The second way would be an upload option that gives the chance to choose a folder by upload. Find the dropdown in the image : hidden link

Thank You / Sascha

What you can do is to open a feature request ticket by clicking the link below.

Hi Shane.

As I scrolled down the list of requests - I found this one:

Seems to be accepted by Your team, right!? So we still a little patience now. 🙂

Thank You
